DUANE ANDREWS

As an award winning producer and director, Duane brings over 30 years of television commercial production experience to Phoenix Digital Direct. 

 

Duane’s work connects consumers to brands or services by blending innovative creative and storytelling with strong call to action that drives viewers to purchase a product or learn more about a product or service.

 

Duane began his TV production career at CKCK TV Regina and later at Global TV(CITV) Edmonton producing TV commercials and corporate videos for the local market.

 

In 1988 he left for Toronto and took on the role of Creative Director for Labuick Media, Markham, ON. His efforts produced record breaking DRTV sales for Time Life, National Geographic, Reader's Digest, Sony Music and more. 

 

In 1992 he partnered with the Production Partners to create a new DRTV division. They went on to produce many award-winning infomercials and short form spots for Guthy-Renker, Interwood Marketing, Fitness Quest, Williams Worldwide, Quality Music, and more. 

Venturing out again in 1996, Duane teamed up with many top record companies producing a myriad of TV spots for Brittany Spears, Janet Jackson, Cat Stevens, Johnny Cash, Billy Joel and many more including the ERA award-winning Pure Moods album. He was also the first producer for the "Now That's What I Call Music" campaign for Universal Music and Kids Bop for Razor and Tie. 

In 2009 Duane signed on as Director of Creative services for Kingstar Media Direct producing a string of hit infomercials and short form spots for Sleep Country, Loblaws, Spin Master, Tri-Star Products, Telebrands, Thane Direct, Studio Moderno and Industex Marketing.

 

In 2017 he began a new production company, Phoenix Digital Direct, producing TV commercials, digital content for social media, corporate videos and documentries.

Duane has worked with some of the biggest names in TV, movie and music. Peter Fonda, Whoopie Goldberg, Marlo Thomas, MacLean Stevenson, Susan Dey, Emmylou Harris, Waylon Jennings, Carrol Baker, Dan Hill, Ronnie Hawkins, Stompin’ Tom Connors, Don Cherry, Engelbert Humperdinck, Dion, Bobby Rydell, Ronnie Milsap, Andy Williams, Rich Little, Roberta Flack, Pat Boone, James Ingram, George Benson, Peabo Bryson, Frankie Avalon and Tommy James just to name a few.

 

Recently Duane worked with Lori Greiner of TV’s Shark Tank producing a TV spot for the Simply Fit Board and generatingover $150M in sales for Lori.

 

Duane’s work has also earned him 4 Electronic Retailing Association (ERA) awards and 3 Television Production Remi Awards.
